ARTIST BIO

This collaborative piece is from talented Aboriginal artists from the remote community of
Yuendumu, 293 km northwest of Alice Springs on the Tanami Track.
The artist include, Margaret Lewis Napangardi, Felicity Robertson Nampitjinpa, Julie Robertson Nangala and Sabrina Robertson Nangala.
Yuendumu is a remote community largely made up of the Warlpiri and Anmatyerr people, who has a longstanding artistic lineage.
This piece represents the sacred Water Dreaming held tightly by the Warlpiri people and encompasses a range of colours and painting techniques to bring this piece to life.

Felicity Robertson Nampitjinpa is a three time Mosman Art Prize Finalist (2017-2019) and Margaret Lewis Napangardi is a 2019 Mosman Art Prize finalist!
