NEW WORKS AVAILABLE BY JACKIE WIRRAMANDA

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your very own, original artwork by this renowned Indigenous Contemporary artist…

About the artist:

Jackie Wirramanda is a talented Indigenous artist from Victoria currently residing in Chinkapook, Central Victoria.

Jackie is most renowned for her stunning paintings but is also a multi-disciplinary artist, who has created ceramics, jewellery and textiles.

Jackie’s iconic paintings are inspired by the sacred sites around Lake Tyrrell, in North-Western Victoria. The importance of these sites was passed down to Jackie from her ancestors. Jackie’s ‘Walking on Country’ story that she so beautifully depicts on the canvas, shows how her ancestors would gather around the soakage sites at Lake Tyrrell. The artist then overlays iconography of dillybags, highlighting the important craft of weaving.

The artist’s stunning use of colour and intricate use of line and dot work, seen predominantly in the overlay designs of her Dreaming, are just a few of the reasons why Jackie’s work has become so highly sought after!

Jackie was a finalist in the 2018 Indigenous Ceramic Award held by the Shepparton Art Museum in Victoria.

Jackie has exhibited her works in Melbourne’s Lume Gallery in 2023.
